Funnies Vs. Comics
The big major differences between these two large franchises is how they entertain. It is known that the Funnies on the newspaper are usually pretty funny. Although they do this by saying or doing something really dumb and/or not realizing they current situation. On the other hand Comic Books rely more on action than jokes. With lots of characters including Marvel and DC Comics they succeed by showing the action fans what they really want. That is the hero punching the teeth out of the other villain. Another big difference between these two were they're length of the story. Funnies are quick and get down to the point; unlike comics. Comics are like tv episodes, we have the hero thinking and understanding how grave the situation is. Don't forget everyone's favorite, the fight scene. On many cases, you have to wait a month for the next subscription to see what happens. Probably what they do have alike are when they show moving actions. An example for the funnies is below in which the two main charaters shoot each other. If you look closely it shows a word showing action. When you open a comic book, you will mostly see these with Hulk, Spider-man, and Wolverine. These three are constantly making actions and/or loud noise. These action words are more common in comic books. So it is pretty obvious the great differences, and what they have in common, between these two. The only problem for readers, which great reading experience will they choose?
